Had an orientation yesterday at the Temasek Culinary Academy
Truthfully, It's more like a lecturing session than it suppose to be
but overally, it is not that bad...
Well, the best part is....
From day 1 onwards, its all about cooking in the kitchen
HAHAHA !!!
Unlike in year 1, its all theory and It's sucks moreover on those topic that it's definitely not link in our diplomas
And now, finally I can do better in year 2 as we now learning things that are related to our diplomas
=)
During orientation, 1st few hours is the best part as they teach us on how to dress our chef's white in proper order...
all our dress is definitely not cool coz we're really had no clue on how to wear it
after all the guidance
Gosh, We look really good and professional
those who are slobbish turns out neat
ugly turns to beauty
fugly turns good-looking
I can see how high the standard is
and it is really a great privileged to have that opportunity
I am definitely looking forward next week
that is my 1st day of the year 2 in Temasek Culinary Academy
=)
I am so optimistic on my future career
Can I be there to overcome all the challenges?
Can I be Special?
Will my career be something that I am expecting?
this is gonna be interesting
my dreams is somewhere there to grab
So yeah

That date was a very intimidating experienced that I was able to overcome it
The day where it all marks on whether I'm a safe driver or the otherwise
Finally, my traffic police driving practical test fall on that date which was on Saturday morning at 11.45am
As usual, I was soo tensed up
Whenever there's a test, especially an exam
I will get tensed up so easily
Before the test, I was having a warm-up at 10.45am
that is an hour before the test begins
So an instructor took me for the warm-up
Right when the instructor approached me, he then asked me these...
"Hey, bro ! Take it easy pal !
Don't get too tensed up ya !
Everything will be just find..."
See, told you I was soo tensed up that it came too obvious for him to know
During the warm-up, things were going just fine.
Just that the anxiety I have to face when the tester approached me
"Oryte pal, you are doing fine !
Just take it easy yeah !
You have great chance of passing !
Just do your best !
Just think the tester is like an ordinary instructor..."
Another word of encouragement was given by the instructor after I had done with the warm up
The instructor is such a nice pal
With his word, at least I have a sense of security and courage to face the tester
Exactly 11.45am, I was in the Waiting area for the test.
Well, there were 11 people there waiting for the tester to call out their names
Damn !
Everyone was soo tensed up like me
At 11.55 am, a man called my name
"Muhammad Adam !"
Damn!
It was my turn to begin
The Tester name was Yeo Teck Beng
As I was expected, he looks so intimidating
So, he was then excort me to the car and begin with his briefing
During the briefing, I finally able to cool myself down as I realised that my tester wasn't that intimidating at all
So It began....
Firstly was the circuit test
I should say Circuit was not a problem coz I know Circuit is my strength and should make good use of that strength.
After that, then the most crucial part of the test where the tester will definitely penalised us on every wrong thing that we do
and that's the actual route
I was assigned to Route no. 9
Thank goodness the route was that not bad during the test
However, as I was reaching back to the centre
A lorry suddenly cut my lane during a right turn and force me to brake excessively
"Damn it! Why you cut my lane Without proper signal ?!
Can't you see I'm on Double plate ?!! "
I was so pissed off at that driver
I feel like killing him man !!!
Grrrrrrr !!!
The tester would either giving me chance (which I doubt so),
giving me 8 demerit points or worst Immediate Failure :(
While Back at the centre, I am soo terrified at the results especially thinking of the lorry incident...
About 5 minutes later, the tester came and showed me this......
Wooohooo !!!
I was soo happy he did not penalised me !!!
I passed my test !!!
"Ouh dear !!! Thank you Sir !!!
I thought you're going to penalised me on the lorry incident.... "
"Ah !!! nope, coz based on what I observed, you reacted defensively as you brake excessively to allow the lorry to pass through instead. Btw, its the lorry fault not you and You made a good decision to allow him passed instead"
Thank goodness my luck was on my side !!!
Now I am able to drive my own vehicle

Guess my hard work did pay off
